Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, organisation name, and anything you include in a message. We may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on the site, and referring websites.
How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide information about services, maintain and improve the website, analyse website usage and performance, protect website security, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Legal basis and sharing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on legitimate interests for operating and improving the site, responding to enquiries, maintaining website security, and understanding site usage. Where cookies or similar technologies require consent, consent will be requested, and we rely on consent for marketing emails. We use a small number of service providers to run this website, and information may be shared with them only as needed to operate it: Vercel for website hosting, PostHog for cookieless website analytics, FormSubmit for delivering messages sent through our contact form, Brevo for emailing you a copy of any resource you download, and ClickUp for recording resource download requests and enquiries so we can follow them up. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use cookies for analytics, and we do not store or read any information on your device for analytics purposes. We use PostHog in cookieless mode to understand how the site is used, such as pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring sources. Visits are counted using a privacy-preserving hash generated on the server rather than an identifier stored on your device, and your IP address is not retained. Because nothing is stored on your device, no cookie banner is needed. We do not sell your data, and we do not use analytics for advertising or tracking you across other websites.
Retention, transfers, and your rights
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, including business record keeping and legal obligations. Some of our providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely on recognised transfer safeguards, including adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, and Standard Contractual Clauses. Under UK data protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability where applicable, and you may withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
Downloads and marketing emails
If you download a guide or other resource from this site, we ask for your name, work email address, and organisation. The download itself is provided immediately on the website rather than sent by email. We ask for these details so that we know who is finding the material useful, and we keep a record of the request. We may contact you once about that download, for example to ask whether it was useful or whether you would like to discuss it. Where you have given us a work email address at an organisation, we rely on legitimate interests for that follow-up, and you can tell us to stop at any time. Downloading a resource does not sign you up to a mailing list. We only add you to our ongoing updates if you separately opt in, that choice is never pre-selected, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link. You can ask us to delete your details at any time by contacting us.
Security and contact
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, though no internet transmission is completely secure. If you have a privacy question or want to exercise your rights, contact info@sacher.ai. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
